 Here are some of the home truth about butchering and wages 

We all know as a sparkie electrician after 4 years you on anywhere from $80 to $150 per hour 

Mechanics anywhere from $60 to $120 per hour after a 4 year trade 

Plumbers $40 to $100 per hour after a 4 year trade all these trade are recognised as a trade 

where as a butcher is not recognised as a trade although it take 4 years to complete 

And will get  a measly $25 per hour 

 trade so need to do 60 hours to make it worth while 

And those who say well put prices up Dosent work as consumers are not willing to pay the price 

Now as I’ve been an owner am butchers I can tell you their a lot more expenses in a butcher shop than  the other trades 

For example we have to sell meat within 7 days 

Where as other trades parts don’t go off 

Insurance on public’s liabilities insurance on staff  plus staff super rent one of the most expensive part inside a shopping Center plus trying to keep the customers with not to high prices so if a butcher was to get $80per hour like a sparkie a normal scotch fillet would be $150kg

And sausages $80kg now no one would by it would they so here lies why their will be no butcher in 5 years no Aprrentice coming through as you can get better hourly rate in other trades plus mining companies are to blame where you can get $100000 a year in you first year compared to 1 year Aprrentice butcher $19,800 per year

So this is why their will be no butchers in 5 years
